Certified CGSB Level 2 (UT, MT), Welding Level 2 (VT) and AMPP-NACE level 2 Inspector - Contract

SGS is looking to hire a Certified CGSB level 2 (UT, MT), CSA W178.2 level 2 (VT) and AMPP-NACE level 2 Inspector as an independent contractor for a QA/QC assignment that will start in January 2026 and last approximatively one year. The exact location is Princeton, Ontario. 

The contractor will be required to complete Visual and NDT Inspections once a week (8 hours on-site Inspection) and NACE level 2 Inspections 3 times a week / 8 hours on-site inspections for a total of 4 days a week.

Scope of work includes:

• Review of workmanship on steel fabrication for conformance with project specifications and Review of fitting Dimensional Checks
• Visual Examination - 100% of all welds.
• Ultrasonic Test Method - 100% of all complete penetration welds.
• Magnetic Particle Test Method – 100% of all filet welds.
• Inspection of Bolts of Slip-Critical and not slip critical or pre-tensioned connections

• Must be a Certified CGSB Level 2 (UT and MT)
• Must be a Certified CSA W178.2 level 2 (VT)
• Must be a Certified AMPP - NACE CIP Level 2
• Minimum of 2+ years of Coating Inspection experience
• 5 years of shop inspection experience (vendor surveillance).
• Ideal candidate would have steel structure inspection experience.
• Detail oriented and well organized
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team, as well as independently
• Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Work schedule: 4 days a week/ 8 hour days
• The contractor will need to provide their own equipment.
• The contractor needs to be an independent contractor (IC)
