Your Role as a Casual Cook

You’ll play a key role in delivering nutritious, delicious meals to residents while ensuring dietary needs are met with care and creativity. Your day will include:

• Collaborating with the Dietitian to create resident-focused menus
• Leading kitchen operations to prepare meals efficiently and safely
• Ordering food and kitchen supplies and managing inventory
• Monitoring food costs and maintaining budget targets
• Upholding sanitation and safety standards at all times
• Preparing specialized and textured diets as needed
• Gathering feedback from residents to help shape the menu

What You Bring

• Red Seal certification or equivalent required
• Experience in a hotel, banquet, or fine dining kitchen preferred
• Familiarity with specialized diets and textured meals an asset
• Leadership experience in food service or nutrition management is a bonus
• Passion for cooking and enhancing the resident dining experience
