We work to uplift the voices of people with lived expertise and to advance the human right to best possible mental health by calling for a comprehensive system of care that protects and promotes mental wellbeing and adequately addresses the social determinants of health.
CMHA BC is leading systems transformation in crisis care in BC, including through the development, implementation and expansion of Crisis Response, Community Led (CRCL). CRCL is a mobile, community-led crisis response team that provides support to people 13 years and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis. CMHA BC’s role is to provide oversight and backbone support to CRCL programs that are delivered by local community-based organizations across the province.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to and under the supervision of the Provincial Manager, of Crisis Care Training and Quality Assurance, the Crisis Care Training Facilitator is primarily responsible for delivering crisis care education to our contracted service providers which includes intensive provincial training curriculum for Crisis Response, Community Led (CRCL). The role requires being in relationships with individuals, organizations and communities committed to transforming the way crisis care is provided in the province. At the heart of this work is a deep belief that strong relationships, culturally appropriate care and an unwavering commitment to dignity and human rights for all - including the unique rights of Indigenous Peoples - will transform health outcomes for those in crisis.
The duties and responsibilities associated with this position are described below. As this is a new position, the nature and scope of responsibilities may be modified over time and other duties may be assigned.
