Curb Machine Operator

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a well established heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling & blasting, pipe & underground utility placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. We are looking to hire one individual who has experience operating and maintaining a curb machine to work with our concrete crew.

Requirements:

• Must be reliable, punctual and possess a positive attitude.


• Valid class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation to and from various worksites in the HRM.


• Experience operating a curb machine for concrete placement required.


• Comfortable assisting with concrete labour and finishing when curb machine is not required.


• Able to work as a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, ensuring all tasks are being completed in a safe and timely manner.
  
  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain curb machines for precise curb, gutter, and sidewalk formation.


• Monitor concrete flow and make real-time adjustments to maintain accuracy.


• Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on the equipment.


• Support grading, leveling, and manual curb finishing when needed.


• Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).


• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations.


• Assisting with mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete


• Other various construction related activities as instructed
