Job Information

• Students: Two children (ages 5 and 11, separate classes)

• Location: North York, ON M2N 5S9

• Preferred start date: ASAP

• Lesson format: Face-to-face, in-person

Student 1 (Ref 188461 – age 5)

• Availability: 2 times per week, 45 minutes each

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, starting at 4:30 pm

• Current level: Complete beginner

• Native/other languages: Portuguese

• Goals: Increase vocabulary, speaking, and listening skills

Student 2 (Ref 188460 – age 11)

• Availability: 2 times per week, 45 minutes each

• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, starting at 4:30 pm

• Current level: Low intermediate

• Native/other languages: Portuguese

• Goals: Improve confidence in speaking with native speakers, expand vocabulary and listening skills, and strengthen reading

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, interactive lessons tailored to each child’s age and level

• Incorporate games, role-play, and activities to encourage participation

• Focus on vocabulary, pronunciation, listening comprehension, and conversation practice

• Monitor progress and adapt lessons accordingly

• Communicate regularly with parents on development

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in English

• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, linguistics, or related field

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably with children

• Ability to create a supportive and motivating learning environment
