Reporting to Manager, ERP Technology, the ERP Release Management Specialist is responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation, configuration, and ongoing operations of SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM) in our landscape. This role is critical in ensuring efficient change control, lifecycle governance, and system stability for our hybrid SAP environment (cloud and on-prem).
Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Setup & Configuration
- Lead the full end-to-end setup and integration of SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Solution Manager ChaRM.
- Configure system landscape, RFC connections, solution documentation, and transport landscapes.
- Set up workflows, project templates, and technical monitoring dashboards in Cloud ALM.
- Implement CTS+ for seamless transport control across environments.
- Change Management & Governance
- Manage and maintain ChaRM workflows, including change documents, transport requests, approvals, and quality gates.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, audit, and control requirements through proper change tracking.
- Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor health of SAP applications via Cloud ALM (Integration Monitoring, Exception Monitoring, Health Monitoring).
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve configuration or operational issues in ALM tools.
- Set up and maintain alerts, email notifications, and performance KPIs.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with BASIS, SAP functional teams, and project managers to ensure smooth change control and operational readiness.
- Serve as subject matter expert for SAP ALM and change control across the organization.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM) in a technical/administrative role.
- 2+ years working with or implementing SAP Cloud ALM.
- Strong understanding of transport management, CTS/CTS+, landscape configurations, and change workflows.
- Proven track record in end-to-end setup of ChaRM and Cloud ALM from scratch.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and hybrid SAP landscapes.
- Solid troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL change processes and audit/compliance frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
Nice to Have
• SAP certifications in ALM, Solution Manager, or Cloud ALM.
•Experience with SAP Focused Build, SAP CALM APIs, or automation of monitoring/notifications.
•Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD practices in SAP change management.
