Overview
This role provides senior\-level sustainment, support, integration, and operational leadership for the GOâPKI environments across development, user acceptance testing, and production. Responsibilities include system administration, disaster recovery, client integration, tool development, incident and change management, and mentorship to OPS teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. GOâPKI Environment Support
- Support GOâPKI environments for development, UAT, and production, including: upgrading Entrust CA from v8.2.40 to v10 for migration to Entrust Managed Cloud Services; implementing disaster recovery sites for Entrust and ADCS CA; configuring HSM devices; updating Atos DirX to Oracle Unified Directory (~$350,000 cost savings); running proofs of concept for Entrust Managed Cloud Services. Monitor health, performance, and status of service components.
- Start/stop, back up, recover, tune, maintain, and patch service components.
- Triaging, analyzing, and resolving incidents and problems related to GOâPKI and Entrust PKI Suite components (Security Manager v8.x, Proxy, Admin Services, AES, SSL).
- Assess change impacts from clients and service providers (ITS, ONX, Telus).
- Document support requirements and procedures; engage vendors for extended support.
2. OnâCall Production & NonâProduction Support
- Provide 24x7 onâcall support for production and 5Ã10 onâcall support for nonâproduction GOâPKI environments.
- Participate in incident and change management as coordinator, analyst, or SME.
- Support GOâPKI applications across network components (Load Balancers, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Gateways, Routers).
- Provide application and infrastructure support for Entrust PKI Suite, Microsoft ADCS, LDAP tools (Atos Dir.X, Apache Directory Studio/CLI), IIS, Apache, IBM Web Server, NGINX, SQL, Oracle DB 11g+, Solaris, Windows, AIX, and Linux.
3. Client Integration Support (OPS & BPS)
- Analyze client requirements and design integration approaches.
- Define and document patterns, processes, and plans.
- Construct, test, deploy, and troubleshoot integration solutions.
- Develop utilities, scripts, applets, and reports.
- Document integration approaches and solutions.
4. Support Posture Improvement
- Develop requirements for support tools; evaluate, recommend, install, and configure tools.
- Develop, test, and deploy scripts, queries, views, reports, procedures, and other programmatic constructs.
- Document support requirements and procedures.
5â6. Disaster Recovery & System Management
- Assist with defining and documenting DR processes and operational procedures for future GOâPKI production applications.
- Define, document, configure, implement, and test system management processes, metrics, thresholds, alerts, and monitoring in collaboration with infrastructure partners.
7. Team Culture, Knowledge Transfer & Sustainment Planning
- Contribute to role description development and sustainment planning.
- Develop and implement knowledge transfer plans for OPS employees, including tests for skill attainment.
- Support transition of sustainment functions; execute knowledge transfer.
MustâHave Experience
- 10+ years sustaining COTS\-based IAM systems, with at least 4 years supporting implementations with over 10,000 users.
- 10+ years designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining large applications using Entrust PKI Suite, Microsoft ADCS, LDAP tools, IIS, Apache/NGINX, Oracle WebLogic, SQL, Oracle DB 11g+, Solaris, Windows, AIX, and Linux.
- Minimum 4 years with Entrust PKI Suite (Security Manager v8.x, Proxy, Admin Services, AES).
Skills & Experience Requirements
1. Large Application Solutions & Technologies (50%)
- 10+ years sustaining IAM systems, including administration, operations, support, patching, monitoring, and service lifecycle tasks.
- 10+ years designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining large implementations across listed technologies.
- Experience with ITIL processes: SLM, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Capacity Management.
- 10+ years triaging, analyzing, diagnosing, evaluating options, and resolving application issues.
- Experience with decision\-making processes and large application change/release management.
- Experience with automated testing tools (TFS, Robot Framework, GOSS, SIKULIX, VSTS).
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and negotiation skills.
2. Large Identity & Access Systems (30%)
- Minimum 4 years with Entrust PKI Suite.
- Knowledge of encryption and authentication technologies: PKI, PMI, SSL.
3. Quality Control, Assurance & Release Management (20%)
- 10+ years quality control/assurance for applications with 10,000+ users.
- Demonstrated experience as central point of contact for incidents and problems in daily operations.
