Laboratory Technician C - Seasonal

Summary:
AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician C in our Edmonton facility. This position is an entry level role where one can gain career experience in a laboratory with direction from the Laboratory Coordinator and other Laboratory team members for organics sample preparation and extraction. The successful candidate will assist with administrative and basic laboratory activities. 
Duties:

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal
• Operate instruments, with guidance from senior staff perform maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting
• Perform basic analysis
• Report results
• Other duties as assigned

• Previous work lab experience is an asset, competency with analytical balance, dispensers and pipettes is preferred
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail with good organizational skills
• Basic computer skills especially with MS Excel and LIMS
• Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment
