Locum - Family Medicine - Kentville

Centennial Collaborative Practice is a well-established, team-based family medicine clinic that provides comprehensive primary care services in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment. The care team includes family physicians working alongside a dedicated dietitian, family practice nurse, social worker, and existing clerical staff, all contributing to holistic and patient-centered care. The clinic fosters collaboration through regular team huddles and shared care planning, enhancing continuity and access for patients. Providers at Centennial use the Med Access EMR, enabling efficient communication, documentation, and coordination across the care team.

Centennial Collaborative Practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from July 7 to July 18 2025.

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

• All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
