Locum - Family Medicine - Truro

Dr. Wanda Brown’s clinic provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages, from newborns to elderly seniors. The practice offers both in-house and virtual appointments, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for patients. Operating during daytime hours starting at 8:00 a.m., the schedule can be tailored to accommodate a locum’s preferences. The clinic is supported by a knowledgeable and highly supportive office staff, creating an efficient and welcoming work environment.

Dr. Wanda Brown’s clinic is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from June 9 to 26, 2025.

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

• All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
