Role: OSS Engineer

Location: Saskatoon, SK

We are seeking a skilled OSS Engineer with hands-on experience in Operations Support Systems such as SolarWinds, Splunk, and Claroty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, integration, and maintenance of monitoring and security platforms that support network visibility, performance management, and operational security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain OSS platforms including SolarWinds, Splunk, and Claroty.
• Monitor network and system performance, generate alerts, and ensure timely incident response.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and alerts to support operational and security teams.
• Integrate OSS tools with other ITSM and NOC systems for end-to-end visibility.
• Automate routine monitoring tasks using scripts and APIs.
• Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal system performance and security posture.
• Maintain documentation for OSS configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in audits, compliance checks, and vulnerability assessments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in OSS engineering or IT operations.
• Proficiency with:
  • SolarWinds (NPM, NCM, SAM modules)
  • Splunk (search queries, dashboards, alerts)
  • Claroty (or similar OT/ICS security platforms)
  • HLD
  • LLD
• Strong understanding of network protocols, system administration, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with SNMP, Syslog, and REST APIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Splunk Core Certified User, SolarWinds Certified Professional, or Claroty Certified Specialist.
• Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and hybrid monitoring strategies.
• Knowledge of OT/ICS environments and industrial cybersecurity.
