Job Description - Pump Truck Driver/Operator

Brand: Pit Stop Portables
Job description:
Location: Alberta, Canada

About Our Company
Total Sanitation Services is a route-based provider of portable sanitation rental equipment and related services. The Total Sanitation Services family of brands now has strategically located branches in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Oregon, and Texas. We are currently pursuing strategic add-on acquisitions of leading portable sanitation providers throughout North America. Our vision is to be North America's sanitation services provider of choice in the markets that we serve.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Pump Truck Driver/Operator based out of our Calgary facility to be the face of Pit Stop on the road, and on our customer sites. This role comes as a result of the continued growth of our business and is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver/operator that is committed to exceeding customer expectations.
The right fit will have a Class 5 license (Air Endorsement required), have a clean driving record, and be an excellent communicator. You’ll be physically fit, unafraid of hard work, and be comfortable driving and operating a septic vacuum service truck throughout Calgary and the surrounding areas. If you’ve got experience hauling trailers, that’s a bonus!
Cleaning and servicing the portable toilets on your daily route will make up the bulk of your day, and you’re the type of person that takes a tremendous amount of pride in being the best at something a lot of other people wouldn’t even be able to do.
In summary, whether it’s a toilet you’ve just serviced, or your work vehicle at the end of a shift, you don’t walk away until you’d be proud if your mom was going to be the next person to use it!

Responsibilities
  • Operate the pump truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety standards.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, including checking air brakes and fluid levels.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate delivery schedules and site requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications
  • Class 5 license with Q endorsement
  • Previous vacuum truck experience would be an asset
  • Strong work ethics and vast attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the city
  • A team player and can work alone when needed
  • Customer service focused
  • Safety oriented
  • Able to lift 50lbs

Job Type: Seasonal
Work Location: Fully Onsite
Pay: $24- $25 per hour

What We Offer
  • Business casual workplace
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Opportunity to grow within a stable and expanding organization
  • On-the-job learning and exposure to a multi-brand operation
We invite applications from all qualified individuals, including those from traditionally underrepresented groups. We are committed to employment equity and diversity in the workplace.
Accommodations throughout the recruitment process are available for applicants with disabilities. If you require an accommodation, please email [email protected] to coordinate.

We thank all candidates for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. We may use AI-assisted tools in our recruitment process.
