Are you passionate about growing the game of baseball across Canada? Do you have experience or interest in recreational baseball or youth programs, or experience with the coordination and execution of volunteer-led initiatives and large-scale events for youth? We’re looking for people with a deep passion for baseball and its power to positively impact youth. If that sounds like you, we want you on our team!

About Jays Care Foundation

Jays Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Toronto Blue Jays, harnesses the power of baseball to create positive impacts for youth across Canada. Baseball is at the heart of everything we do. It’s more than a sport; it’s a tool for youth development, building character, resilience, and belonging. Through award-winning baseball-for-development programs, we partner with communities nationwide to help children and youth facing barriers unlock their potential.

About the Role

Jays Care Seasonal positions are designed to provide an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable work experience in the rewarding charitable sport sector. Jays Care Foundation is looking for passionate, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to assist in various Jays Care Foundation Program positions. Candidates can expect to travel to various communities and partake in major initiatives, projects, and programs that have a national reach and large impacts on communities we work with. This opportunity will provide a dynamic, fast paced, and unique learning experience for individuals with ambition, drive, and immense potential.

Please note that these are seasonal positions aligned with our high season, spanning from approximately February-August 2026. These positions are full-time contracts.

The Quality Assessment Program Implementer for Schools and Partners will play a key role in strengthening the quality, consistency, and impact of Jays Care programming across Canada. This position focuses on delivering inclusive baseball experiences for children and youth facing barriers, while supporting communities to build safe, engaging, and high-quality environments for play.

Coordinators travel extensively to partner sites, primarily across Ontario, to assess program delivery, model best practices, and collaborate with local leaders to ensure every participant feels a sense of belonging, connection, and joy.

As a Coordinator – Quality Assessment, you will:

  • Facilitate youth-centered programming that promotes belonging, connection and baseball skill development using variations and trauma sensitive approaches to ensure all participants are included.

  • Travel to Jays Care partner schools and communities to observe programming, gather insights, assess quality, provide recommendations for program enhancement and demonstrate best-in-class facilitation techniques.

  • Provide ongoing program support by identifying opportunities for improvement and offering recommendations that strengthen program design and implementation.

  • Collaborate with Jays Care staff and community partners to ensure programming is inclusive and aligned with organizational values.

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Jays Care’s systems, processes, and program models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assessments across Ontario (70% travel), ensuring programs meet Jays Care’s standards for safety, inclusion, and impact. A valid G class driver’s license and current Standard First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it before the contract begins.

  • Support the delivery of in person and virtual trainings, clinics, celebration events, and tournaments. Applicants should have experience playing or coaching baseball/softball or other sports (all staff receive training to feel confident in the role).

  • Assist with administration, logistics, and delivery of core Jays Care programs in schools, communities and partner organizations, including Challenger Baseball leagues. Experience supporting children and youth with disabilities is considered an asset.

In addition, the seasonal coordinators can expect to be assigned to support a wide range of Jays Care Foundation projects and programs beyond their role including, but not limited to:

  • In-stadium events

  • Community events

  • Fundraising events

What We’re Looking For

  • Baseball experience and knowledge is preferred but not required—other coaching experience or work with youth is highly valued.

  • Proven ability to lead youth-facing programs, with a passion for using baseball and sport as tools for development.

  • Experience working with underserved communities, with an understanding of cultural protocols, is an asset.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Valid ‘G’ Driver’s License required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Recreation, Education, Sport Management, Business, Kinesiology, or related field.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Good demonstration of problem-solving skills and ability to work in a group

  • Significant competence in PowerPoint, Excel and different online communication platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)

  • Fluency in French is an asset

SALARY: The anticipated base compensation for this role is $22.00 per hour.

POSITION STATUS: New

WORK LOCATION: In-office; required to work at Rogers Centre five days a week, or in the field, based on role requirements.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
