Job Description - Adjunct Instructor - Mental Health and the Workplace - Hiring Pool: Future Opportunities 2025 - 2026

SAIT’s Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) focuses on non-credit programs supporting corporate training, the individual learner and international projects. We create courses and programs for life-long learning with careers at our core. Our courses range from exploring general interests to up-skilling for career advancement and reskilling for career changes. We complete all background activities required to set up our products for students to purchase and experience several delivery options.

We are looking to build our Instructor pool to teach Mental Health courses in the 2025-2026 Academic Year. These Individuals would be responsible for delivering a modularized 7hr course that can be taught in person over 1-2 days to Corporate and Individual learners. We are looking for someone who has a demonstrated interest in Mental Health.

Note: We are currently building our talent pool for potential contracts during the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Hours are not guaranteed; you will only be contacted if a teaching opportunity becomes available.

Qualifications & Experience

    • Required

    • Mental Health First Aid Certification is considered an asset
    • Strong demonstrated interest in Mental Health
    • Relevant field experience within the past 12 months
    • Experience designing and facilitating educational opportunities (workshops, online learning, toolkits, resources) for adult learners is an asset
    • Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
    • Experience with videoconferencing technology (MS Teams, WebX, Skype or Zoom)
    • Fluent in English reading and vocabulary
    • Positive & respectful attitude
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to organize and present written information
    • Training and knowledge of adult learning fundamentals
    • Formal training or education in facilitation or teaching
