BRITT RADIUS provides a flexible working model.As a Land Agent, you have autonomy and responsibility over your work week to meet the needs of team, clients, and landowner availability.This role requires strong judgement, proactive communication, strong negotiation skillsand the ability to manage priorities independently in a serviceenvironment.
As a Land Agent, you will:
Lead surface land acquisition for new and existing projects, including negotiations, amendments, rent reviews, damage settlements, etc.
Lead consultation programs to engage landowners and stakeholders effectively.
Act as the primary point of contact for landowners, ensuring transparent communication and maintaining positive, long-term relationships.
Prepare, review, and manage all required land documentation: lease and right-of-way agreements, survey plans, non-objections, notices,and temporary workspace.
Obtain survey permission and access consents.
Work closely with internal teamsto support project planning and execution.
Conduct site visits, resolve landowner concerns, and support operations as .
Ground truthing and site/route scouting.
Maintain detailed, organized file management and reporting throughout the land process.
Stay informed of relevant legislation, industry standards, and regulatory updates impacting surface land work.
Prepare and maintain detailed consultation logs of any landowner and stakeholder interactions.
Provide creative solutions during field negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Representclients and BRITT Radius with professionalism, sound judgement, and discretion when engaging with landowners, tenants, and community stakeholders.
TO LAND THIS ROLE you need:
5+ years Surface Land experience, ideally in a consulting services/broker environment.
Licensed Alberta Land Agent.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, balancing priorities and deadlines.
Robust communication, problem solving skillsand excellent organizational skills.
Take initiative and be self-motivated.
Diversity of experience (Oil & Gas, renewable energy, municipal and telecommunications sectors) is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Surface Land acquisition procedures, documentation, and regulations.
