RQ10471 - Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and security of IT systems through comprehensive testing practices.
  


• Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts across GUI and non\-GUI environments.
  


• Provide expert guidance on testing strategies, tools, automation approaches, and resource planning.
  


• Plan, coordinate, and conduct functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance, and specialized testing (e.g., stress, performance, and load tests).
  


• Validate system behaviour under various conditions to ensure expected functionality and performance.
  


• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps, and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
  


• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as OpenText™ UFT, Selenium, SOAP UI, or Postman, and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  


• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the system development lifecycle to clarify requirements and support delivery.
  


• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, and retrospectives.
  


• Ensure testing processes adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and AODA accessibility guidelines.
  


• Maintain thorough documentation of test results, test coverage, defects, and quality metrics.
  


• Provide input for user documentation, including user guides and release notes.

• Strong ability to develop Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Data.
  


• Extensive hands\-on experience in QA automation, including designing automation frameworks and developing robust regression test packs.
  


• Proficient with automation tools such as Selenium, UFT, Cypress, and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  


• Skilled in functional, integration, regression, system, performance, load, and UAT testing.
  


• Proficient with Azure DevOps or similar platforms for test management and defect tracking.
  


• Strong experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman or SOAP UI.
  


• Solid backend/database testing capabilities, including PL/SQL job validation and writing complex queries.
  


• Experience testing workflow\-driven applications, particularly IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
  


• Knowledge of AODA accessibility standards and hands\-on experience with accessibility testing.
  


• Experience conducting performance testing (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and analyzing bottlenecks.
  


• Understanding of security and access control testing, authentication, and data protection mechanisms.
  


• Experience testing COTS solutions or platforms built on Salesforce or Microsoft technologies.
  


• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices.
  


• Ability to produce clear, reusable test cases and comprehensive documentation.
  


• Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) for automation or test data setup.
  


• Experience validating data integrity, supporting migration testing, and ensuring system\-wide consistency.
  


• Knowledge of Information Management principles and best practices.

• Strong background in Security, Access Control, and backend database testing.

• Well\-versed in documenting UAT artifacts including test cases, execution results, and findings.
  


• Experienced in AODA and WCAG compliance testing for web applications and documents.
  

Automation Testing:

• Experienced in planning and developing automated test cases based on business and technical specs.
