Project Description
The Financial Systems Transformation Project (FSTP) is intended to transform the Cityâs financial processes and move the SAP Financeârelated modules from the current onâpremise ECC environment to the new SAP S/4HANA. A consultant with extensive experience in SAP development is required to augment the development team, bringing both expertise and demonstrated competency spanning the spectrum of techniques required for the development of reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows, as well as enhancing functionality.
The role will include handsâon development during hypercare and sustainment in both SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC, including the creation of all required documentation as well as coaching and knowledge sharing to assist the team to produce highâquality deliverables within the prescribed timelines.
Deliverables
- Documented functional specification review feedback.
- Technical specifications and documented technical unit testing for all development objects.
- Run procedures for all development objects.
- Documentation to support knowledge transfer for all development objects.
- Documentation and presentations to assist with mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Status updates on development objects.
- Build of objects in the respective system.
- Design and documentation of processes and procedures required to sustain development objects within operations.
- Updated documentation of development objects resulting as part of the defect remediation process.
- Review feedback for documentation provided by the system integrator.
- Configuration of ABAP Test Cockpit and/or Code Inspector as well as code and QA review feedback using the templates provided.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 10+ years handsâon experience in ABAP Development (including ABAP Objects and ABAP 7.4 and 7.5 Syntax) spanning the full RICEFW development object spectrum in SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.
- Experience performing and managing the full SDLC for development deliverables, including the preparation of comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Experience providing input and subject matter expertise during requirements gathering, design, and functional specification preparation, as well as providing feedback during functional specification review.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and sharing knowledge with developers to assist with handsâon learning and overall upskilling of the team. This includes RICEFW development and tools/applications including but not limited to Business Application Studio, Eclipse ADT, and GitLab.
- Experience using tools such as SAP Solution Manager (Project Management, Change Management, Service Request, and Incident Management), Jira, and SAP Quality Center by HP (HPQC).
- Experience in project methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, etc.
Technical Capabilities
- Development experience with Eclipse ADT and SAPGUI.
- Experience in integration between SAP S/4HANA/ECC and other systems/applications using a variety of methods including IDocs and APIs (OData, REST APIs, and SOAP Web Services). Experience with Cloud Integration (CI) Integration Flows (iFlows) or other middleware and Application Interface Framework (AIF) are considered assets.
- Experience with Gateway Service Builder (SEGW), Core Data Services (CDS), and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
- Fiori application development experience. Business Application Studio (BAS) and GitLab experience are considered assets.
- Experience creating reports using various techniques including Embedded Analytics and/or SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Experience implementing enhancements including BADiâs, Customer Exits, BTEâs, explicit enhancement spots and sections, and implicit enhancements.
- Experience with forms including SAP Adobe Forms.
- Experience with SAP Workflow.
- Experience with ABAP Test Cockpit and/or Code Inspector as well as performing Quality Assurance and code reviews.
- Demonstrated experience in the SAP modules FI, CO, FM, GM, TRM, MM, and SD. Experience with RE, PM, and HCM considered an asset.
