Job Description - Summer Day Camp Program Leader (Central Okanagan)
The Child Care Team is dynamic, supportive, and growing! Are you ready to work with a team to make a difference in children's lives? We are looking for folks who are energetic, active, responsible, and caring! Flexible shifts available during the week, Monday - Friday. Hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Lead high quality program planning, incorporating the Y’s values
Maintain safety and supervision in accordance with provincial licensing requirements and standards
Build healthy relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Actively interacts with children ages 5-12 as a play partner and homework helper
Support implementation of play based educational programming, including interactive play, literacy, mathematics, science, building, drama, games, team building, daily physical activity, and sports
Participate in YMCA of Southern Interior BC community initiatives
We’d love to hear from people with:
Must be 19 years of age (as per provincial licensing standards)
Minimum 20 hours of professional development relating to children’s health, nutrition, safety, development and/or guidance (Responsible Adult Certificate)*
Experience working with children
Valid class 4 operator’s license (is an asset)
Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR level B or C
