New Horizon Co-op is hiring a Temporary Food Store Manager at our Food Store in LaGlace, Alberta.

What you’ll do:
Provide superior leadership through coaching, development, performance management, and feedback to Team Members to ensure that they deliver an exceptional customer experience
Developing and adhering to operational and budgetary goals including sales, margins, expenses, inventory and sales per employee hour
Lead a culture of safety for both management and non-management employees through continuous training and adherence to New Horizon Co-op’s standards for health & safety, loss prevention, and environmental due diligence
Ensure company policies, best practices, training courses, and certifications are completed in a timely and efficient manner
Ensure inventories are managed and protected in compliance with management standards to maintain high levels of accuracy and minimal losses
Other duties, as assigned

Who you are and what you have:
5 + years of progressively responsible work experience in a retail environment, including 1-2+ years of demonstrated experience as a Supervisor or Manager
High School Diploma
Valid Alberta Driver’s License
Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
Demonstrated experience tracking and monitoring customer satisfaction levels
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage operational budgets, maximize operational efficiency, and improve sales and growth margin
Effective planning, organization and time management skills
Strong inventory management, analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in coaching, mentoring and providing performance feedback to Team Members/Supervisors
Great computer skills (including data entry accuracy) and the ability to manage computer files efficiently
Related experience in the Co-operative Retailing System is an asset
