Tradesperson (Subcontractor)

Job description

Adding to our team, we are looking for an experienced Tradesperson who is a self starter, confident in their abilities to work alone and with others.

Skills & Qualifications

• General carpentry and construction (painting, framing, drywall, mill work, etc.)


• Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with foreman, subcontractors, and other trades.


• Able to take direction and implement changes as required.


• Ability to efficiently manage time.


• Be responsible, trustworthy, punctual and have a respectful understanding that you are in other people’s homes.


• Maintain a safe and clean jobsite.


• Follow company policies and procedures.


• Attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.

Supplemental

• Must have own tools and equipment.


• Multiple site visits may be required in one day.


• Must have a reliable transportation / vehicle and valid driver’s licence


• Capable of meeting physical aspects of the role


• Willing and able to work hours as required (including some weekends and evenings)


• Must be fluent in English


• Must live in Calgary, AB


• 3 years experience minimum


• Subcontractors must carry their own WCB

Compensation

• 3-month probationary period


• This is a subcontract position; clear and accurate timesheets and invoices are required.
