Vehicle and Compound Detailer

Overview

Join our team as a Vehicle Detailer in the beautiful Bow Valley, where you’ll have the opportunity to work in a role that allows skiers, snowboarders, hikers, and mountain enthusiasts daytime hours to enjoy the Rockies. We are seeking full-time and/or part-time detailers to ensure our vehicles are clean, maintained, and ready to create fantastic, memorable experiences for visitors to the Rockies.

Job Details

• Job Types: Full-time, Part-time


• Average Hours: 15-25 hours per week


• Pay: Starting at $21.50 per hour


• Additional Pay: Tips


• Flexible Language Requirement: English proficiency required; French an asset but not mandatory

Schedule

• Shifts: Primarily from 3:00 PM to late evening, with some daytime shifts starting at 12:00 PM


• Shift Length: Standard 8-hour shifts


• Full-time Schedule: 4-5 days per week

Responsibilities

Detailing Vehicles

• Top up vehicle fluids, including re-fueling


• Thoroughly clean vehicle interiors and exteriors


• Report vehicle defects, flaws, or issues to the Operations department

Nightly Tasks

• Inventory and restock vehicle multi-day kits


• Buff and polish vehicle wheels


• Degrease and clean interior windshields


• Apply lubrication, antifreeze, and anti-fog products (winter)

Maintenance & Cleanliness

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailer’s workspace (wash bay)


• Winter responsibilities – shovel snow on walkways, de-ice sidewalks and manage ice build up on vehicles


• Manage garbage, cardboard, recycling, and refundable containers


• Clean guiding workspaces (“ping pong” bay and equipment room)


• Clean office spaces (desks, floors, etc.)


• Maintain shared kitchen and bathroom spaces

Other Duties

• Assist with vehicle breakdowns, including “rescuing” or swapping vehicles


• Support Discover Banff Tours events held at the main office


•  Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Discover Banff Tours management team, including but not limited to maintenance and cleaning duties at Discover Banff Tours facilities, such as staff accommodation buildings and DJ’s Garage. Examples of tasks may include routine cleaning, minor repairs, organizing spaces, or assisting with facility upkeep.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  
  
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods)
  
  
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive “fix it” attitude
  
  
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the Operations department
  
  
  
  


• Preferred:
  
  
  
  • Previous experience in vehicle detailing or professional cleaning
  
  
  • Experience driving larger vehicles (e.g., vans or shuttles; training provided if needed)
  
  
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance (e.g., identifying fluid leaks or tire issues)
  
  
  • Familiarity with workplace safety protocols
