Accountant - Remote Work

Job Description:

Alaska Air Group is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis, working remotely from Montreal, Quebec, CA. This is an entry-level position, ideal for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in accounting.

Responsibilities: - Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable - Handle payroll processing and employee expense reports - Assist with tax preparation and compliance - Conduct financial analysis and forecasting - Provide support during audits and internal reviews - Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - CPA or other relevant certification is a plus - Strong organizational and time management skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Negotiation skills for vendor and client interactions
