Description The Accounting Clerk plays a vital role within a construction company. Responsible for supporting the company's financial operations, he helps ensure accurate and efficient management of accounting data. Responsibilities: •Accurately enter accounting data into the company's computer system.
•Verify and process supplier invoices and purchase orders in a timely manner.
•Carry out the reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts to ensure the accuracy of balances.
•Prepare account statements, expense reports and balance sheets.
•Assist in the payroll process by checking timesheets and calculating hours worked.
•Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers to resolve billing and payment issues.
•Organize and classify physical and electronic accounting documents to facilitate auditing.
•Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and internal controls.
•Participate in the monthly and annual close of accounts by preparing journal entries and adjustments.
•Complete all administrative and accounting tasks assigned by management. Requirements: •Professional studies diploma in accounting, secretarial work or equivalent combination of training and experience.
•Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or related services sector, an asset.
•Comfortable using accounting software.
•Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
•Attention to detail and ability to work independently while promoting team spirit.
•Ability to resolve problems and take initiative to improve accounting processes.
