Job Description - Architectural Account Manager

CP Distributors strives to meet the needs of our diverse customer base.  In addition to locations in Saskatoon, including Corporate Branch Support, and the Saskatoon Production Centre, we also have branches in Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, Surrey, and Halifax. 

We currently have an opening for an ambitious Architectural Account Manager in Saskatoon . This full-time position offers tremendous growth opportunities, including diverse projects, supported career development, and potential for advancement. 

As an Architectural Account Manager, you will be responsible to:

  • Proactively pursue business opportunities with our existing and prospective account base through the development of positive working relationships with architects and design professionals;
  • Travel as required across the province to meet with clients, as well as represent the company at various tradeshows, lunch and learns, and events;
  • Utilize strong client management and professional selling skills to identify and provide sales support to architects, designers, and key clients;
  • Work closely with our business development and sales teams to generate opportunities for our specification writers, who will then create hardware schedules for projects;
  • Provide exceptional customer service and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your Experience:

  • Ideally, you will have 3-5 years’ experience in the commercial construction or building supply industry;
  • Proven ability to establish new, as well as build upon existing business relationships and industry alliances;
  • Prior experience selling to the architectural and design markets, or working at an architectural supply company is considered an asset;
  • Experience using BIM software is considered an asset.

  • Strong relationship building and exceptional customer service skills; 
  • Business acumen and negotiation skills;
  • Analytically minded, with a proactive and professional approach to problem-solving;
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues across our company, maintaining our close-knit, team-orientated culture;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
