Overview

We’re partnering with a well funded private investment company with a diverse range of holdings and aggressively investing in all asset classes and industries. They’re looking to hire into a newly created position, the successful candidate will report directly to the CFO and will play a key role in all accounting matters, oversee current investment holdings and review new opportunities in real estate and with private companies.

Opportunity Details

If you are CPA designated at a major public accounting firm, have proven post-audit experience in an M&A/deal/due diligence/advisory group, are driven and have an entrepreneurial spirit this role could be ideal.

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Review and support new investments through the summarizing of Confidential Information Memorandums, assisting with target identification and the evaluation of potential investments through financial and operational due diligence
• Asset Management duties include oversee existing investments and holdings, review/oversee accounting, financial statement deliverables, monitor cashflow for various entities and support integration of new investments
• - Accounting and Finance deliverables include preparation of financial analyses, forecasts and budgets, provide direction on accounting related matters and ensure effective liaison with 3rd party advisors and service providers
• Execute ad hoc initiatives/special projects as required

The company is offering an excellent total compensation package, full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Undergraduate degree in a business, commerce plus a minimum of 4 years post-graduation experience
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) at a major public accounting firm
• A minimum of 1 year experience supporting M&A/due diligence/Transaction activity in an advisory capacity or equivalent experience in Private Equity/Investments/Asset Management
• Experience/knowledge of Real Estate accounting/investing is considered an asset
• An ability to work with C‐level decision makers and clients
• Comfortable working in a less structured yet highly professional environment.
• Self-confident with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Excel skills – knowledge of financial modelling
