Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant is responsible for the financial reporting for three separate operating companies. They will work closely with the management of each company and the Group Controller to ensure that the organization's goals are being met.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Reconciliation of company bank and credit card accounts

• Invoicing and managing the trade receivables
• Entering payables invoices and managing the trade payables
• Electronic processing of payroll and maintaining employee files
• Prepare the Worksafe NB remittances
• Complete and remit periodic HST returns
• Complete month end process
• Additional ad-hoc duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Sage accounting software.
• An understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Experience in third party payroll processing service
• Formal training in accounting preferred
