Our client is in the pharmaceutical industry and will require you to work on-site 3 days/week and remote 2 days/week; they offer free parking and is a short walk from a YRT bus stop. • Utilize your strengths in financial reporting, analysis and forecasting to support the team and organization.
• Responsible for performing detailed and in-depth analysis over financial data, sales, etc to uncover trends.
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasts using trends, analysis and reporting to help with more accurate projections.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results and investigate monthly/yearly variances.
• Prepare P&L and balance sheet analysis.
• Monitor and report on actual versus budgeted/forecasted; work to provide supporting explanations and ways to conduct corrective actions.
• Implement proper controls to ensure that all financial as well as non-financial activities are properly accounted for.
• Participate in any additional analysis or projects as needed.

The qualifications for the Financial Analyst job opening in Markham, ON includes:

• At least 2 years' experience in Financial Analyst capacity.
• Completed Bachelor's degree in an accounting/finance or equivalent.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and SAP experience is required.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal along with the ability to liaise with clients; internal and external.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving-skills; ability to delve in and understand the problem and come up with solutions at the ready.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; adaptable, ability to prioritize.
