Job Description - Operations Manager

S&T Properties is a full-service rental management company that maintains vacation properties across Canada. We manage the entire rental operation from setting up new units to communication, property maintenance, and marketing. We are a small but dedicated team of professionals committed to efficiency, optimization and integrity. Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $65,000 CA per year (Annual bonuses and Pay Revision)

Job Description

While reporting to the CEO, the Operations Manager will be the liaison between managers, departments and various stakeholders. The right candidate must have great leadership skills, an ability to give effective feedback and drive team members towards achieving company goals. They will take on various projects towards implementing and improving process and procedures while taking into consideration the future of the company. They will also be meeting face-to-face with long-term Investors and go to our properties in Calgary, Canmore and Golden to complete tasks and projects. This position requires great communication skills, professionalism and dedication. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CEO in business decisions and projects.
  • Communicate with long-term investors via phone, email, video call and in person.
  • Use leadership skills to relay effective feedback and drive team members towards achieving company goals.
  • Investigate operational issues and provide solutions.
  • Solve complex issues (internal and external) as well as extensive Airbnb claims.
  • Use Zoho-based software daily to complete tasks, projects and documentation.
  • Analyze current systems and propose improvements.
  • Work closely with all departments and managers to complete projects and ensure proper communication.
  • Manage operational staffing in conjunction with other departments.
  • Ensure that Investor inquiries are answered and acted upon. 

Ideal Profile

Skills

  • Adept at answering inquiries over multiple platforms (email, phone and video call).
  • Possess leadership skills, great interpersonal skills and active listening skills.
  • Possess problem-solving skills and can adapt to changing situations.
  • Adept at communicating, negotiating and establishing relationships.
  • Is Comfortable with certain accounting and financial terms.
  • Is meticulous with a strong attention to detail.
  • Has a positive and optimistic attitude.
  • able to work independently as well as part of a team and with other departments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years in customer service.
  • Minimum of 2 years of resolving moderate to complex issues (ex: disputes).
  • Minimum of 2 years of combined managerial experience.
  • Proven experience using AirDNA, Airtable, Excel, Zoho Connect, Zoho Learn, Zoho Project and Zoho Sign.
  • Proven professional oral, writing and listening English skills.
  • Proven experience with a property management company.
  • Proven familiarity with Airbnb and its policies.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Commerce, etc.)
