Accountant

Job Description: WEC Energy Group is seeking a reliable and resilient Accountant to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As an Entry Level Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the financial operations of the company. This position offers a great opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.

Responsibilities: - Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports - Analyze financial data and provide insights to management - Perform reconciliations of accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records - Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities - Prepare and submit tax returns and other regulatory filings - Work closely with other departments to support financial decision-making - Stay up to date on accounting standards and regulations - Support internal and external audits as needed - Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - 1 year of accounting experience - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Adaptability and ability to make sound decisions under pressure - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software - CPA certification is a plus
