Role Responsibilities

So tell us… are you an innovative and service-orientated information professional with a passion for legal reference and research? Do you enjoy leading professionals and contributing to your library goals and vision. If so, Alberta Law Libraries has an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead position located in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager, User Experience, Programs and Partnerships, the Team Lead position is accountable for organizing and managing effective and efficient operations of the Law Libraries in various locations in the South (Calgary, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Red Deer.) Responsibilities include ensuring delivery of timely legal reference and research as well as designing, supporting and providing training services to internal and external stakeholders. This position provides considerable opportunity for participation in strategic planning and developing and implementing procedures. The Team Lead, South must have the acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities while simultaneously balancing long term projects with the urgency of immediate demands on the operations of the Southern Region libraries. The ideal candidate would be a dynamic team leader with high level organizational, problem-solving, time management and analytical skills. They will also have superior interpersonal and communication skills, proven collaborative mentoring abilities, and a demonstrated commitment to client service.

Qualifications

Masters in Library and Information Studies (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA accredited institution plus 4 years of related experience. Required
