Senior Accountant

We have partnered with our boutique public accounting firm client located in Vaughan with their search for a Senior Accountant for their firm.  This role is open to a hybrid arrangement for a senior person who can be independent. Responsibilities

• Direct communication with clients to resolve accounting and tax issues
• Responsible to compile and produce financial statements
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Prepare corporate tax returns for a number of investment companies
• Preparation of Notice -to -Readers  
• Liaising with high net worth clients with some complicated investments
• Some bookkeeping skills required

Job Requirements:

• CPA Designation
• 6 years of public accounting experience
• Strong accounting experience
• Strong corporate tax knowledge is a must
• Well organized with ability to prioritize 
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong client service skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong teamwork skills
• Experience with: TaxPrep, CaseWare, Caseview
