Ensure effective accounting and financial management, and provide the necessary oversight and support to achieve business goals and objectives;
Maintain scalable processes and improve and stabilize our managerial reporting, especially in areas of WIP, revenue recognition, multiple billing and payment scenarios;
Improve and automate the reporting of business metrics and provide regular updates to the management team;
Review all required month and year-end reporting to ensure completeness and accuracy;
Ensure that major accounts and cycles (Cash, AR, AP, WIP, etc.) are reconciled appropriately, and that risks and opportunities are identified. Support the collection of receivables when necessary;
Identify areas of financial and business risk and recommend additional internal controls where appropriate.
Provide support to team members as required and assist various departments with financial inquiries;
Processes vendor invoices for payment from purchase orders through to issuance and mailing of cheques while ensuring compliance with Endeavour’s corporate policies;
Ensure all financial transactions have the appropriate authorizations, general ledger account distribution and tax calculations and follow Endeavour’s internal controls;
Ensure invoices are paid on schedule and in accordance with vendor terms and company cheque run policies;
Reconcile vendor statements by analyzing transactions and researching discrepancies and follow up in a timely manner with appropriate parties;
Perform a variety of accounts receivable functions: bank deposits, generating sales invoices, posting customer payments;
Process purchasing documents such as Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, ensuring compliance with Endeavour’s corporate policies and procedures;
Assist on projects and assignments and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:2 -3 years of experience in a professional services firm or a company
5 years related work experience both in preparation of reports and budgets as well as the analysis of information.
University degree with a focus in business and accounting.
CPA accounting and/or finance designation an asset.
Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with employees at all levels.
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
Strong interest in technology and demonstrated expertise to design and automate processes is an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains an asset.
