TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Joint Venture Accountant in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.Responsibilities
  • Manage joint venture accounting for manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts for manufacturing projects.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs for profitability.
  • Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliation.
  • Calculate and recognize revenue from joint ventures.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes and systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation preferred, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on manufacturing or related industries.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, including cost accounting methodologies and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing setting, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards governing manufacturing accounting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous learning mindset, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in manufacturing accounting.
Employment Details
  • Salary: $90.000 - $130,000
  • Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits, 40 hours weekly, Permanent, Full-time
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
