Senior Joint Venture Accountant in
Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities- Manage joint venture accounting for manufacturing operations.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Develop budgets and forecasts for manufacturing projects.
- Analyze manufacturing costs for profitability.
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliation.
- Calculate and recognize revenue from joint ventures.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and systems.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation preferred, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on manufacturing or related industries.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, including cost accounting methodologies and inventory management.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing setting, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards governing manufacturing accounting.
