Sr. Accountant

Description Robert Half is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant for a short-term contract / temporary opportunity. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant opportunity is located in the Chilliwack, British Columbia area. Key responsibilities

• Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
• Bank reconciliations
• Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
• Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
• Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Ad-hoc projects as required

Requirements

• Proficiency in bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Demonstrated knowledge of month end closings
• Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics preferred
• Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to meet deadlines and strong organization skills
• 2+ years of overall general accounting experience
• Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers
• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
