Job Description - Tax Administrator

Tax Administrator Location Montréal, QC :

Job Summary

What is the opportunity?

As part of the Central Tax Group with RBC Royal Trust, the Tax Administrator provides efficient administrative support to a team of Tax Managers. You will be accountable for accurate data and file management to help support the preparation and administration of a large number of tax returns. Being a tech-savvy individual with attention to detail and experience with electronic filing and digital documentation are key components of this position. This position is a four-month contract with full-time hours.

What will you do?

  • Maintain digital tax folders and export key documents
  • Sort and scan Canada Post mail and digital mail
  • Act as the support resource to Tax Managers
  • Prepare Excel spreadsheets and Adobe documents
  • Organize digital data and runs
  • Assist Tax Officers with mailings of client tax documentation
  • Communicate with the CRA and RQ
  • Follow established standards and procedures

What do you need to succeed? Must-have

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required to serve our clients in the community with English speaking needs
  • Proficiency in Excel, Adobe, and ability to easily learn new software and business applications
  • Ability to organize data with meticulous attention to detail
  • Resourcefulness and ability to demonstrate strong technical skills to assist with digital documents
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of basic data analysis using pivot tables, filters, and rules
  • Previous office administration experience
