Who we are

We invite you to join the Park NB team! We have the opportunity to work daily in our province's Appalachian Mountain region next to the city of Campbellton, the junction of Chaleur Bay, the Restigouche River and in view of the rolling hills of the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec.

Our Park contains more than 25 km of hiking and biking trails, and our downhill bike park offers Atlantic Canada's only lift-service mountain bike park. It also has a spacious ski lodge for our winter enthusiasts and a wooded campground for family and friends to enjoy throughout the summer.

What you will do

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be responsible to provide administrative support to park management. The duties and responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily ticket office and operations
    • Equipment rental shop
    • Retail shop
    • Campground registrations
    • Purchasing, receiving, and displaying goods
    • Monitoring inventories
  • Ensuring all Point-of-Sale systems are functioning and used properly
  • Resolving customer complaints and ensuring all clients have an excellent experience at the park
  • Preparing daily sales reports, weekly revenue summaries, and managing bank deposits
  • Supervising the sales and services attendant staff
  • Assisting to hiring, planning work schedules, compiling timesheets and conducting performance reviews
  • Providing orientation and training
  • Assisting in the planning, organizing, and executing special activities
  • Performing other related duties as required

Work Environment

  • Office location: Sugarloaf Provincial Park administration office and customer service locations
  • Hours of work: Variable hours, evenings and weekends as required

Who you are

You are someone who prides themselves in exceeding client expectations, being flexible and supporting members of your team. You are experienced in providing administrative support. You must be a team player who works with attention to detail and possess strong interpersonal, communication skills and are self-motivated.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have

  • A post-secondary diploma of one (1) year in a related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related experience
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
  • Written and spoken competence in English and French is required

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the Online NB Parks Reservation Service System
  • Knowledge and use of retail POS systems
  • Ability to use office technology, software, and applications, such as Microsoft office suite and Oracle/Fusion
  • Knowledge of Accounting and Financial Principles

Wage

$1,625.00 to $1,971.00 bi-weekly
