JOB SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant – Primary Care and Clinical Services Reports to and works under the direction and supervision of the Administrative (Executive) Director and   Manager of Primary Care and Clinical services which includes matters pertaining to the policies and procedures of Six Nations Elected Council.

PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

The Administrative Assistant for Primary Care and Clinical Services at Six Nations of the Grand River serves as a pivotal support role, primarily assisting the Administrative Director and Manager. This position provides comprehensive administrative and technical support to ensure the efficient functioning of the Primary Care and Clinical services department. Operating within established administrative policies and procedures, the Administrative Assistant undertakes various tasks related to assessing, developing, implementing, and reviewing departmental goals and objectives. With a focus on reinforcing the values and philosophy of Primary Care and Clinical services, the Administrative Assistant assists in upholding organizational standards and protocols in all administrative functions. Additionally, this role plays a critical part in facilitating communication and coordination within the department, contributing to the smooth operation of daily activities, and promoting a cohesive work environment.

$45,158 – $54,982 per annum

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of Post-Secondary School in Office Administration with two years of work experience in the field (preferably medical related).
    OR
  • Grade 12 Diploma (Ontario Basic Skills Level 4 Grade 12 equivalency/General Equivalency Diploma) and recent receptionist/assistant experience

Other Related Skills:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, integrated environment.
  • Flexibility to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing environments.
  • High level of computer skills both in software applications and general hardware maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understands the importance of Confidentiality. Ability to work with tact and discretion.
  • Culturally competent to work with the Six Nations community.
