Description

Position: Administrative Associate
Location: 3280 Bloor St West Etobicoke, ON M8X 2X3
Status: Temporary, full-time (37.5 hours/week) – in clinic (18 month term)
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 am-4 pm

TELUS Health is looking for an Administrative Associate to join an amazing multi-disciplinary team in our THCC- Toronto Bloor.

Under the direction of the Clinic Manager, the Administrative Associate will be responsible for processing medical files, conducting patient follow-ups, data entry, and a variety of administrative and clerical tasks..

Here’s how

  • Process Occupational Health files
  • Validate that all results have been received and coordinate files with the physicians to be reviewed and signed off
  • Process the files according to the specific protocol
  • Complete Follow-up with both client and patient. Updating patient file status.
  • Following up with patients regarding outstanding results
  • Scheduling appointments- when needed
  • Answer phone, and client questions and schedule appointments
  • Share Reception responsibilities with other admin – lunch/days off coverage
  • Prepping referrals and requisitions
  • Shipping medical documents to clients via courier
  • Perform other general clinic/administrative duties including scanning, faxing, photocopying, printing documents, and maintaining tidiness in the clinic

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience working in a fast-paced environment, providing a high degree of customer service
  • Exhibits a professional image, mature communication style, and polished manner with clients
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact while respecting patient confidentiality at all times
  • Exhibits strong work ethic and takes ownership to complete a task from start to finish
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrates effective organizational, multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • Exposure to patient databases and/or scheduling software would be ideal
