Department of Surgery is seeking dynamic, highly efficient, outcome driven Program Administrator (PA) who will be responsible for all aspects of the operational administration for a surgery residency program. The PA is also responsible for coordinating with various medical education programs, such as Post Graduate Medical Education, Undergraduate Medical Education, and Continuing Medical Education. The Program Administrator is responsible for all the administrative duties tied to the medical education programs that are related to the residency program. The PA also has administrative responsibility for residents in all PGY program levels of the program. The incumbent ordinates all planning, policies and human resources support services for the program.
As an Administrative Support VI, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. diploma in business or office administration, specialized external certification).
Additional Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in business management, or healthcare related degree 2Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively. Demonstrated ability to work and learn in fast-paced environment. Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to details. At least 2 years’ experience in healthcare At least 2 years’ experience working in a program administrator or coordinator role. At least one year experience working with the University of Calgary. Intermediate to advance MS office Suite..
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working as PA for a department of the same size and scope as the department of Surgery.
