Position: AIRPORT MAINTENANCE/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

The Northwest Regional Airport Terrace-Kitimat is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to fill a permanent full-time career position in our Airport Operations/Maintenance Team, as an Airport Maintenance/Equipment Operator.

Working as part of the operations team, you will perform a variety of activities required for the operational, winter and structural maintenance of airport grounds and surfaces, buildings, drainage and water and sewer systems. The operation of heavy and small equipment is required.

Experience in maintenance of asphalt, gravel and grass surfaces, heavy equipment, snow removal, basic building maintenance, and crew supervision would be considered an asset.

Applicant must have a minimum of grade 12 education, possess a valid Class 3 Driver's License with air endorsement (or the ability to acquire this, on your own, within 3 months of employment), possess basic computer skills, have a proven ability to work proficiently unsupervised, be self-motivated, and must provide a Drivers Abstract and pass a security clearance.
