A Three-year Path To Wealth Advisor An Associate Wealth Advisor will work alongside an experienced CC&L Private Capital Wealth Advisor for a four-year period of mentorship in sales and service. The Associate Wealth Advisor will become registered and be assigned client relationships to perform independent service with a high level of coaching. Our intensive coaching program will also support each Associate Wealth Advisor in developing the skills to build on these relationships while attracting new ones as the foundation for building their own practice. After the three-year mentorship term, the Associate Wealth Advisor will have the opportunity to advance to the Wealth Advisor role and continue the development of their practice of attracting and retaining clients. What You Will Do
  • As an Associate Wealth Advisor, you will have the opportunity to work with and receive mentorship from one of our highly experienced Wealth Advisors alongside the day-to-day interactions with clients. In this client-facing role you will be instrumental in the delivery of exemplary client experiences as well as securing new client opportunities while gaining firm-led coaching and support unique to your development.
  • We are committed to your personal and professional growth, helping you maximize your potential to achieve success and within four years transition to a Wealth Advisor role with a foundation of clients to independently build from.
  • Your high-level job accountabilities will include:
  • Supporting an established Wealth Advisor to provide exemplary client service and the delivery of investment planning and portfolio management to high-net-worth clients jointly and independently as required
  • Learn the requirements to assess client suitability for investments, guide asset allocation, convey asset class details and seek deep understanding of each client
  • Support the preparation of client meeting materials, including preparation of documentation and client specific updates for presentation jointly or independently at client meetings
  • Managing and executing day-to-day client requests and delivering a high level of personalized client service with speed and accuracy
  • Navigating requirements for all aspects of new and existing account documentation, execution on systems, and collaborating with administration support teams
  • Participating fully as a team member and engage in ongoing learning and development to improve skills and knowledge
  • Demonstrate ability to gain self-sourced clients through appropriate networking and business development activities
  • Confidently demonstrate the skills of a Wealth Advisor over the 3 year term

  • The ideal candidate will be a strong client service professional with a foundation of knowledge in investments with an interest in sales and business development. With a strong foundation of training and coaching, this individual will have a desire to learn and seek continuous growth as they successfully move to the Wealth Advisor role after four years. In approaching the role, the candidate will fit within our high-growth firm and team culture, and work well alongside their colleagues with a positive mindset.

  • Strong customer service skills – ability to work quickly, with accuracy in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and a high level of integrity
  • Great communicator with excellent presentation abilities
  • Natural relationship building, collaboration and networking skills
  • Aptitude for direct high-net-worth client relationships and sales
  • Interest and ability to understand financial markets and portfolio/investment management
  • Core skills to guide clients in an investment suitability assessment and asset allocation
  • Core skills to guide clients in portfolio construction and investment planning
  • Desire to learn new skills and topics related to a wealth planning conversation
  • Potential to confidently guide clients in wealth decisions, specifically investment advice
  • Industry experience: ability to be registered as AAR or AR-CRM by end of year 1
  • Undergraduate degree; CFA required by end of first year in the role, if not currently Securities Commissions registered
