Bartender

The historic Caribou Hotel in Carcross, Yukon is hiring a Bartender to work in the Surly Bird Saloon for the 2024 summer season.

We are a small saloon that serves refreshments and light snacks. The position is for 35 hrs to 40 hrs per week based on a 5 day work week. The successful candidate must be able to operate the saloon independently and have great customer service skills.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• opening/closing
• serving
• bartending
• dishwashing
• cleaning
• POS operations
• Outdoor furniture set up and take down
• Providing support for performers as needed
• Taking payment for cabin rentals

This Yukon Historic Site is located in Carcross, an unincorporated community in the Yukon. It is 74 km south-southeast by the Alaska Highway and the Klondike Highway from Whitehorse. There are many outdoor recreation opportunities in the area, including mountain biking, hiking, camping and fishing.

Pay is $18.00 per hour plus tips.
