Job Description - Contractor Administrative Assistant

They also like flexible schedules and opportunities to advance. you will be working in our Grand Fall s s tore located at 8 Bertelson St, Grand Falls, NB E3Y 4A2What you will do: 

  • Leads and promotes a culture where Safety is the #1 priority.
  • Job location will be based at the DC and reporting to the Transportation Manager
  • Working collaboratively and supporting DC / store operations  
  • Manage and coordinate all store delivery notices and maintain DC distribution reports
  • Manage and report on operational performance of the fleet, such as fuel consumption, fleet operations, and analyzing fleet data to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor and generate reports on vehicle location, speeding alerts, and idle time by using GPS software platform
  • Coordinate the processing of all cardboard pickups and invoicing
  • Support and implement fleet management policies and procedures and ensure compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors including service providers for long term effective services
  • Communicate maintenance and fleet repair requirements to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Coordinate the cross-dock process at the DC
  • Collect and maintain up-to-date documentation for each driver and truck information
  • Assist with process improvement as needed
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management 


What you will bring: 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Great attention to detail and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with WMS and TMS software 
  • Biligual French/English

You will need to take ownership for your area of the store and maintain the highest standards of safety, service and merchandising. The job can be quite physical and involves standing, walking and lifting. You will need to learn our products and policies, and seek assistance when asked a question that you are unable to answer, or you need help lifting a heavy item.
