Our client, a reputable company in Oakville, Ontario, is seeking a talented individual like you to join their team on a 3-6 month contract basis. Key Responsibilities - Conduct thorough credit analyses to assess the creditworthiness of customers and determine appropriate credit limits.
- Manage collections efforts, including contacting customers regarding overdue payments, negotiating payment plans, and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales and finance teams, to address credit-related issues and optimize collections processes.
- Monitor aging reports and escalate delinquent accounts as necessary.
- Prepare and present regular reports on collection activities and account reconciliations to management.
Requirements Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Credit Analyst, Collections Specialist, or similar role, with a focus on collections and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis principles, collections techniques, and financial reconciliations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
