• Drive corporate financial strategy to align with business objectives.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, providing regular reports and forecasts.
• Develop financial policies and controls to optimize efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Lead financial analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA, with active membership in good standing.
• 10+ years of hands-on financial management experience, including significant experience within Indigenous organizations, demonstrating a thorough understanding of Indigenous financial practices and regulations.
• Proven leadership experience with at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role, overseeing and mentoring a team of finance professionals.
• Comprehensive knowledge of full cycle accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• High level of integrity, ethical standards, and commitment to confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
• A clear criminal record and eligibility to pass a background check.

Employment Details

• Salary: $115,000 - $135,000 per annum
