JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Financial Administrative Assistant

Kilrich is the contractor's choice for professional grade construction materials, custom trusses, building supplies and tools. Founded in 1977, Kilrich is the largest building materials supplier and truss manufacturer north of 60. If you join Kilrich, you will become part of a fast-paced and dedicated team that works together to provide our clients with the highest possible level of service and advice.

The Financial Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting in the overall management of all office duties within Kilrich Building Centres which would include invoice verification to purchase orders, daily deposits, and customer statements. The Financial Administrative Assistant is also responsible to assist in the development of and adherence to Kilrich Building Centres credit policy and to ensure the minimum exposure for Kilrich Building Centres towards bad debt from accounts receivables, customer cheques, payments etc.

Some specific duties include:

  • Maintain current records on accounts receivable.
  • Verify supplier invoices to Purchase Orders.
  • Post invoices to accounts payable.
  • Ensure all invoices are paid within terms to receive all discounts for early or on time payment.
  • Produce and make daily bank deposits.
  • Prepare cheques for signing by the President.
  • Posting of all transactions to the appropriate GL accounts.
  • Prepare and ensure all customer statements are sent out monthly and on time.
  • Prepare an accounts receivable aging report for the President on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor and send out all overdue account notices.
  • Compliance in full with the company’s Safety program including wearing all safety equipment required and regular participation in toolbox meetings.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by the Financial Administrator, CFO and/or President.

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, overtime as required
