Job Summary:
The Faculty of Applied and Technical Studies at UFV invites applications for an instructor in our Welding Program area for the 2024-25 academic year.
Under the general direction of the Director of the School of Trades, Faculty of Applied & Technical Studies, the Instructor will organize, develop, manage, and instruct Welder programming.
Qualifications:Preference will be given to individuals with additional certifications related to this trade; evidence of on-going upgrading; knowledge of the BC Apprenticeship system, and evidence of leading people towards a common goal in a diverse working environment.
Preference may be given to candidates who are enrolled in or have completed the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program. Applicants should have a demonstrated history of ongoing professional development as both a tradesperson and as an instructor. Applicants who have demonstrated a commitment to creativity, innovation and/or the application of technology in the delivery of educational programs are preferred.
