BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.
Reporting to the Superintendent – Warehouse and Logistics, the Inventory Controller is responsible for managing the inventory levels, item categories and supporting warehouse activities to meet operational requirements. Assists identifying material requirements, correct stocking levels and ensuring that the needs of the business are met.
Work Location: Can be based at the Prince George or Vancouver office.
Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
Help with leading the continuous improvement and execution of inventory management strategy, policies, and guidelines regarding materials categories and contracts.
Manage the material demand needs within the user areas.
Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential risks.
Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, stock aging to anticipate demand and avoid excess or obsolete inventory.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory items based on demand forecasts, lead times, and stock availability.
Maintain strong working relationships with internal clients.
Develop and implement new concepts in work simplification and cost reduction.
Provides ongoing advice, answer queries from internal users on inventory.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Professional certification in inventory management is an advantage.
Experience with demand planning and forecasting.
Strong understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the mining or a related industry.
Experience with demand planning and forecasting.
Understanding of mining equipment and maintenance processes to effectively manage critical spares and consumables.
Familiarity with regulations and standards related to inventory management and supply chain operations
