Medical and Administrative Assistant Location Toronto, ON :
Administrative
- To assist physicians, nurses, and management staff with patient care, scheduling, and administrative needs
- To engage in and complete all appropriate mandated training and education for each employee, not only during the hiring/onboarding process, but on an ongoing basis
- To assist with organization and scheduling, and to attend all necessary conferences, events, team meetings, and team building activities/outings with staff, as they are scheduled
- To assist the clinic manager(s) and colleagues with quality assurance tasks and protocols
- To adhere to PIPEDA and PHIPA laws with regard to handling of patient data.
- To cross-train for other roles in the Clinic
Logistical
- To assist physicians and/or nurses with procedures as instructed
- To operate equipment as instructed and to obtain appropriate training for the safe use of each piece of equipment. This may include, but is not limited to, x-ray fluoroscopy, ultrasound, infusion pump, and/or computer/IT equipment.
- To help manage inventory and supply and to report deficiencies to the clinic manager
- To identify and respond to any maintenance and/or repair needs promptly
- To ensure safe handing and storage of supplies
- To ensure cleaning, staff compliance, dosimetry, and equipment maintenance, schedules, checklists, and documentation are in compliance with the protocols outlined in the Clinic's Policies and Procedures documentation
- To assist clinic management and physician staff in managing and optimizing client relations with referring physicians, patients, and external organizations/providers
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- To read, inquire about, and understand all of the Clinic's Policies and Procedures
- To ensure personal compliance with at least the minimum standards set out by OHSA, WSIB, WHIMS, Ministry of Labour, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario as well as the Policies and Procedures of the Clinic
- To monitor and review quality assurance protocols as outlined in the Clinic's Policies and Procedures documentation
- To maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification an annual basis, reimbursable by the Clinic
Other:
- To perform other services as reasonably requested by BPS

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
