JLL Canada's Value and Risk Advisory team is actively seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as the National Operations Manager. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a high-performing and dynamic team, as we expand our professional services portfolio. As the National Operations Manager you will play a critical role in managing projects and ensuring a smooth flow of operations. We will rely on you to oversee projects and project timelines, coordinate new programs, and drive team initiatives forward. We are looking for an individual who possesses an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive "get it done" attitude – someone who will act as the glue that holds our team together across the country. Beyond being a team player, this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and financial literacy.

The National Operations Manager position is office-based and reports directly to the Head of Value and Risk Advisory in our Toronto office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, industry-leading firm and make a significant impact on our operations and success.

With local professionals in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and Alberta, our Canadian team is a ‘Best-in-Class’ national valuation platform, servicing the needs of many of the nation’s largest Pension Funds and Institutions. At this time, the group focuses on valuation assignments of ‘Core 4’ real estate assets (Retail, Office, Industrial and Residential), with some localized specialization in multi-family, seniors housing, and hotel properties.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING :

  • Work closely with the national leader on various strategic initiatives and tasks related to the growth of Value and Risk Advisory in Canada.
  • Execute and lead operations projects, as discussed with both the Head of Value and Risk Advisory in Canada as well as other JLL leaders.
  • Maintain constant communication with the national group to ensure proper operation standards are in-place. Help manage, motivate and support the group as a whole.
  • Support existing hires in terms of technology needs, process improvements, etc. to enhance productivity.
  • Support efforts to produce local, regional, and national employee and client events.
  • Collaborate with other company departments (IT, HR, Finance, etc.) to ensure best operational practices are being applied.
  • Help implement a national onboarding program, and assist new hires with their transition to JLL.
  • Assist in the monitoring of financial data and production KPIs to manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING :

  • 3+ years work experience in similar role
  • Experience managing administrative projects and programs which contribute to greater operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to: MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Adobe Professional, X, or Standard
  • Degree in business, operations management or related field is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Operate with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to Stakeholders
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Must be proactive and take initiative
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision
